Plants in our nursery

Growing and Caring

As the saying goes “Great Oaks from Little Acorns Grow”.

The variety of seeds is wide, from traditional vegetables and flowers, to exotic species, our suppliers provide a huge choice, including a variety specifically for children to grow.

We have an array of composts, multipurpose, organic, ericaceous and soil based, also including a special one for citrus fruits.

Fertilizers come in pellets, soluble, liquid, crystal, organic and all for a specific purpose.

We have a good choice of pest deterrents, including a plant that keeps cats away! (not the best of smells but our customers say that it works well!)

When the next drought arrives you will welcome our irrigation systems! We have different quality hoses, reels and water butts including one that looks like a bee hive!

Watering Cans

Watering

If you are enjoying the hot summer days, then do not forget about your garden plants. Whilst we all need the sun, prolonged spells of dry weather inevitably leave our gardens in need of extra watering. If you do not have a water ban, then make the most of our balmy, warm evenings and hose your plants at this time to reduce the levels of evaporation, which will ensure that the water soaks down to the roots. If the dry conditions persist then you can add mulch around the base of those plants which are more vulnerable.

Trees and Shrubs

Young or mature, you will find them within this department.

The nursery grow plants all year round, so you should not be disappointed on range, quality and price.
We have a large variety of trees including specimen, ornamental and fruit.

Beautiful house plants including traditional favourites, specialist Orchids and Cacti.

The herbaceous selection will not disappoint the keen cottage gardeners! We also have perennials, alpines, heathers and roses to mention but a few.

Why not grow your own, we always have seasonal fruit and vegetable plants to offer.
